When someone shows you who they are the first time - believe it. But ultimately by his refusal to do the correct thing and put his marriage first over his business interests shows that for all his vaunted boast of having changed - he is still the same cheater he proved himself to be. Sure this H has all the right words, he is a good salesman. He will cheat again and the h is utterly wasting her time and leaving herself wide open for more betrayal. His main problem resolution mechanism is to brood and drink. And as we have seen both before and after the separation, the H doesn't handle troubled times in his marriage well. Because for all the H's apologies and words, he refuses to actually take ACTIONS to make up for his huge and grievous betrayal. Besides she is 'happily' married now - cause of course a woman who is willing to sleep with a married man would be totally unwilling to cheat on one. Because it would be possible harassment and he doesn't want to ruin a good business relationship.
